LaQuan Smith's luxury brand has graced runways and been worn by celebrities across the world. Pictured is a piece from his February 2022 collection.

From accessories to self-care, these Black men are bringing us must-have products and designs. In keeping with showing love to Black men this month, we want to introduce a few luxury brands that are giving us life.

A timepiece that gives Back

William Adoasi had a love for fashion. Fueled by that love, he launched the luxury watch brand Vitae London. Each timepiece purchase helps a child from Sub-Saharan Africa through one year of school or helps provide solar light for children in rural areas without electricity.

Tackling mental health one scent at a time

Inspired by his mental health journey, Reggie Hathrone introduced a line of luxury candles that he says are “a way to light dark places.”

His line features candles, sprays, and diffusers that are named for his mental health journey. The brick-and-mortar is based in Chicago and also offers an introduction to candlemaking classes.

Brandon Blackwood is becoming a household name in designer handbags. The New York-born designer's handbags have hit runways and graced the arms of celebrities. Selected purses can also be found at Saks Fifth Avenue.

From denial to runways

LaQuan Smith's journey wasn't easy but the native managed to translate years of observing his grandmother and other women into luxury pieces that are definitely fashion must-haves.

The Queens, NY-born designer started with custom leggings that have been worn by celebrities giving him the notoriety in the fashion industry needed to further build his brand. Smith's collection now includes tops, pants, catsuits, dresses and more.
